About Me

Hello!

I am Miss Parrotta. This is my second year of teaching and I taught Kindergarten last year at Holy Cross School. I am very excited and grateful to be joining the St. Joseph School family!

Attending Catholic elementary, middle, and high school myself, I am proud to return as a teacher. After attending Aquinas, I attended SUNY Fredonia. I received my Bachelors degree in Childhood Education and Special Education (Grades 1-6). I went on to receive my Masters in Literacy (Birth-Grade 12). While working towards my Masters degree, I had experience with working as an AIS (Academic Intervention Services) teacher at Northern Chautauqua Catholic School in Dunkirk, NY supporting students with their literacy abilities. I have my NYS teaching certificates in Early Childhood Education(B-2), Childhood Education(1-6), Special Education(1-6), and Literacy(B-12).

I am very passionate about teaching and building strong relationships with my students and their families. I believe that students should be actively inolved in the learning process. Therefore, I have many hands-on and engaging activities planned for this school year.

Some things I enjoy are traveling, watching musicals, playing the piano, ice skating, shopping, and enjoying a variety of outdoor activities during the summer time.
